Now this is what I call a beautiful version of this song. The string section really enhances it. To bad the songwriter and original guitarist Kerry Livgren couldn’t have been a part of it. For old Kansas fans like myself who were listening when this stiff was new (1977), it will never really feel complete unless KL is involved. Still this cover captures the spirit beautifully.

Site Transfered To New Hosting Account

Well as you all could tell the site has been down for a few days due to the hosting acc being cr*py…
So we moved the site to a new server… What a job and a half… A lot of the files that were taken from the old host (BlueHost) turned out to be corrupted, hence the problems, and had to be redone by my coder. Big job…Big files….Big bill.
I think we have most of the problem fixed but if you see one please post me a message and we will get at it… Thanks for your patience…

I’m moved to declare that Fleetwood Mac is my absolute favorite band (enamored I am of the stunning, ultimate rock songtress Stevie Nicks, my favorite female singer/songwriter of all time; admiring I am too of the ingenious Buckingham, who has become my favorite guitar legend). I listen to their music religiously, as I cherish virtually the whole of the band’s catalogue of songs. Song-writing, singing, and musicianship are all phenomenal with this band.

I saw The Hollies in 1965 (I think) with Graham Nash. I even still have the photos I took way back then and I was up really close!! In my opinion these guys are greatly underrated!! So many of their songs have such soaring vocals that gives me chills!! If you listen to their real early material and then their later material, you will hear a “change” in their sound. This is because Alan Parsons co-produced an album with Ron Richards and their sound since then greatly improved!! Hollies….

You have to remember that this was the mid-1970′s when there was just this overall selling of songs going on that had to have hooks that would make the tunes unique. For this remakes the “ookachakka” chants were those hooks. Overall this is still one of the best remakes ever even though the sound is a little of.

The Doors are in the top 5 greatest bands ever, I don’t care what anybody says. And Jim was the greatest songwriter ever.
60s and 70s music is the pinnacle. I just hope we can get back to that.
